Your passionate post Blownupdolly about trying to get something started where we can all focus is exactly the point that I probably clumsily made . Yet again we have got a little breathing space to get ourselves mobilised into helping . The time for anyone bitching about this that or the other must be set aside and we need to collectively fight the common enemy . I would dearly love ECCA to play the leading role in this matt1988 but I understand the problems you are having . I would happily not suggest anything on these threads if all was well ...it isn't !!!!!.

Please as I said above feedback for ECCA and this newish initiative which is making a list of volunteers skills and where those skills could be used to best effect ..to date in 24 hours about 50 posts

Thanks Chrissie, but I am unsure what that thread is looking to achieve, it appears to be a go to place, for people able and willing to put time and effort into different projects.

And yes We deffo need a new rep for here I'm doing my best, but I don't think I am able to capture everything!

On 8 June, ECCA put a statement on the website containing the following:

ECCA UK will be issuing an entirely new Mission Statement. Because of the new mission statement, the current website and all information on it is considered outdated and in its present form, irrelevant.

We are now 17 July, and I still can not find a new Mission Statement.

During this period, we have had the worst possible outcome at the EVNI vote on the TPD ammendments.

Are ECCA still 'hell-bent' on protecting the consumers from the vendors, which I hasten to add, "McAven, Wilmot & Co" already did last week.
Or are they going to be helping to protect the consumers from the TPD, in some way or another?

For the next 2 or 3 months, I (probably along with many, many others) wish to use my efforts to try and do my best to ensure that our hobby does not get wrapped up in Red-Tape and burried down a big hole.

If the current status quo of the TPD does not change, EECA is effectively going to be replaced by the MHRA.

Unfortunately, until all this matter is over, I think ECCA will find it quite difficult to get a new forum rep. (Please, somebody prove me wrong)

The task would be simplified, by having a Mission Statement, to clarify the aims of the orgnisation. (Sorry if there is one - in which case it needs to be far more prominent on the site)

I really do hope we get a new rep, but unfortunately, it wont be me
