Congratulations siffy
really is a great moment to realise how bad they taste and how bad other people actually smell after smoking and even better how much your health will improve, i think we all had that point were we asked for a puff of someones and URGH after those lovely flavors we use its horrible.
I have now helped two people with copd and they cannot believe the improvement in there health.
Keep up the good work and spread the word lets save as many of our friends and family as we can so we can all live longer and smell a bit better hehe.

Had my first real challenge today. I am a self employed cleaner and ironing lady. My Wednesday customer has her hubby and dad at home, they both smoke. I left home, pretty confident that I would be fine, had my vape.

Arrived, walked through the door and the stink hit me. Now last year, during my token pack in the ciggs journey, that would have made me want one even more. I took my coat off and the usual rouite is we have a ciggy, chat, while the kettle boils, then I crack on.


I went outside, with them and vaped. I was truly fine, not once did it cross my mind to ask for a drag, or even have a full one. Truly can't believe it really! Feels like it's all a dream and I will wake up. They seemed genuinely pleased for me, didn't want a go at the vape, got that no thanks look, which I understand, have been there too many times myself.

I've faced all my first times of everything now, so am not waiting for anything to happen (unlike in previous token attempts) it has happened, am not a smoker, and now a vaper, love it!

I'm happy for you siffy when I first switched to vaping I couldn't believe it either..wanted to shout it from the rooftops and get everyone I knew that smokes to try it.

It took a little while to get used to because I had smoked for 15 years or more, but vaping appeals to me on so many levels I know I'll never go back to smoking now.

I like gadgets and vaping just feels futuristic to me some of the devices are like something out of science fiction. I love the huge range of flavours to try etc..but most of all I prefer the actual delivery of nicotine to tobacco cigarettes, it feels so much purer without those 1000's of other nasty chemicals getting in the way....and I like the fact my teeth have stayed white since my last trip to the dentist, my fitness has improved greatly & I'm not coughing up "Slimer" from Ghostbusters every morning

It's a personal victory when you switch to vaping..

Thanks Adam, I know what you mean about the delivery, I prefer it too. Something else happened today too, which lead me to ask a question about the difference between nicotine craving and the craving for the other chemicals in a ciggy, will pop my question on the other forum.

Good on you siffy, i can recognise a lot of what you have said, i have tried one stinkie just to see if i really wanted one, not really believing i could say "no i'm not bothered about smoking" but thats exactly what i did & i hated it, the smell was obnoxious & i felt as though i was in a chemical factory, i hope i will always feel the same way & have finally kicked the disgusting habit

I hope I always feel the same too. I know you can never say never but in 30 years of trying tobkick ciggys I have never felt like this before. Maybe my mind has happily just shifted from I smoke to I vape? In all the pr evious attempts, many of which where a token effort, I have always known I will be back on them. It's as though I have given myself permission to not smoke, if that makes sense? Can't remember not being a non smoker, smoked since I was 13 ( how terrible!) I really do feel like a new person, with a different outlook.

me too & yes what you say makes a lot of sense, i hope you feel really proud of yourself for finally giving up the stinkies, it all just seems to have clicked in to place for me & i actually prefer vaping now to smoking, also my daughter & son in law & one of my sisters have kicked the habit too & are happy vaping instead, we all did it within a few weeks of each other so of course we are swapping tips on vaping. I feel my biggest help has come from coming on here though everyone has been great for tips, help & support theres always someone to turn to on here   thank you everyone
