HEY ... Less of the frightening talk ...... CLEANING .... I did clean roms favourite monkey lastnight though 

was out in garden enjoying the sun  hanging linen out

Did it 6 days ago as, so it should have sorted it for them to go back in tonight, with their 5 new sisters who arrived on Sunday.

With the arrival of 5 more it will mean a shed load more tidying.

Oh yes! Not  poxy tub, either. I got me 25kg
About a gallon of undiluted poutry shield.
A steam cleaner.
Smoke bombs.
(& a gatling gun  )
& best of all - a plastic shed.

It's been soooooo much easier to sort out than a wooden coop.

Oh, and almost forgot, the girls will all be 'frontlined' tonight, before they go to bed

This is the second clean - 1st one 6 days ago.

Steam clean done.
Waiting a bit for the poutry shield to do its job (but I think the steam has already done it)
Diatom mixed to a paste ready to fill in all the cracks & crevices.
Put the fittings back in - all plastic.

Smoke bomb in 6 days just to be doubly sure.

Super-Shiny would be proud of my thoroughness.

Not in my back yard.
First they have to contend with  7' fence, with wire burried almost 2'.
Then there's the smell of the dogs, which apprently scares them off a bit.
Then they'd have to get into Fort Knox.

Plus, I'd put money on either of my 2 White Leghorns against that puny fox Tease-smiley

Missed this before.

5 more - no probs. We run deep litter, so only properly clean every 6 months or so. Picking turds out of nest boxes, honestly, is the same for 3 as it is for 15.

And their shed is in the shade of a tree, so it doesn't turn into a furnace in the summer. (Neighbour asked what I was doing in there to make all that steam, so I said "Vaping!!!" )
