Hi everyone.
I'd like to make my Aga T2 into a brushed steel one, with the finish of the RSST. Has anyone done this? Can you give me an idea of what grade sandpapers to use and if it can be done by hand? ???

Not sure of the finish on the RSST, but you can put a brushed finish by hand using some fine wire wool. It's better with machinery mind.

Get the finest wire wool they have...
If you've got a drill you can put the aga-t in the drill and do it that way, I used an old cigalike battery that had a 510 connector. Put the aga-t on the battery and put the battery in the drill. It turned out well.

Brushed finish between 400-800 grade depending on how brushed you want it. Just did my fourth AGA-T today by hand on my battery drill. Took about 10 minutes and this involves removing the knurls too.

What would happen if I tried this with my vamo? Would the brass come through?
I did it with my old ego c which the rubber had come off in places and that looks the dogs dangles.

Must have a go at this......Got 3 Aga-t's & it would be cool to have them all in a different finish.

Always handy to see something done once before starting ourselves Maybe put taping of the glass part and threading onto an old disharged ecigalike (using the cigalike as a drill bit) for the aga (and replacing sandpaper for fine wire wool)??? hope it helps

That looks fanatastic - I'm glad it can be done - got some wire wooland graded paper now...just waiting for my aga to empty of juice....it's gonna break my heart - got a cracking coil and wick in there at the mo!!! But that's definitely the finish I'm after! Great to have inspiration to tinker from you guys!!
