did you drill out the second hole ? looks impressive but i dont like the drill bit method arnt to raps suppose to sit nicely on the wick? and at the mo im running a vamo so 1.2 is the least i can coil and that drops out now and then shuts the vamo off no mate just pulled the post with pliers,the coils are touching the wick,not choking it

Just be careful with max amps You could be pulling 29.4 watts and 7amps on a fully charged battery

Mental post that Dave! Made me laugh and frown and smile all at the same time, I've been using my T2 for a few weeks now and I've experienced much the same learning curve, glad it's not just me I reuse my wicks too by the way, they seem pretty bullet proof to me?

Well not entirely Bullet Proof but I find them a lot more forgiving than they look, i've had them out and re cooked and re rolled them then back in the aga and they still work fine. Must admit I didn't expect that cos they appear so fragile, I find kanthal ribbon great for avoiding hotspots and giving a tidy coil
