Police sending letters of advice to landlords on vaping

I was informed by a 2 pub landlords I am friendly with at the weekend that south Wales police have sent letters out advising pubs to discourage the use of e cigs in their premises.stating that it can lead people to think if we can vape then they can smoke fags.. 
What a pile of horseshit I'm sure the job of the police is to enforce the law not to make suggestions on issues that 
have naff all to do with them.
quite a few pubs in my area have already put a stop to it,I seem to remember them moaning when the ban came in as they lost so much trade.well said pubs have lost my trade now, and I like a good drink but will be spending my hard earned where I'm not treated like an outcast.

my landlord vapes so he will no doubt tell the police to stick to persecuting motorists......

The little hitlers in our local club (comiittee) have said the same thing to me, but its come from them not the police, its pants going outside too as i don't seem to get a drag from my pv as i get inside

It's digraceful, the way that people are just too concerned with it 'looking like smoking'. They should be focussing on the fact that it's NOT smoking!

I know Hesta they are just jumped up ignorant ar*eholes they have not got a clue what e-cigs really are so claim they are classed as cigarettes, i wrote in asking comittee if i could use mine (i lied & said i gave up on advice from gp) i explained the vapour was same as artistes uses in smoke machines & also sent 2 pics in with letter so they could see mine didn't look like a normal cig (its purple & chrome) & does not glow red when dragged on, but the answer still came back as no grrrrr

With the amount of pubs closing per day, vaping was the best thing that ever happened for them. If they do that then Bye Bye pubs!

Maybe any offended landlords could put in a complaint to the police commission about them trying to impinge upon their business. It isn't illegal activity (except someone actually smoking, which a landlord would deal with or call the police over) so it has nothing whatever to do with them.

Things are just going from bad to worse. It's all SO pathetic.

Talk about a Nanny state. I'm sure landlords are capable of making up their own minds and deciding either way and surely nobody is going to confuse the two.

When I still smoked and lived somewhere else, my local used to close early just so he could let his locals have a lock in and smoke... why the hell should they ban vaping in pubs.
