Meeting my MP.

Well after a couple of months badgering my MP Anne McGuire (Labour) I got an email this morning the choices for a meeting time.

So on Thursday 27th June at 1200 I shall be having a meeting after all.
All it took was complaining about lack of engagement and veiled notions I might contact the press if she kept brushing me off.

I have a fair idea what I want to say but will take along a crib sheet since my mental faculties are somewhat hit and miss much of the time as well as printed information from the likes of the Clive Bates blog.

I shall report back after the meeting to try and gauge how things went.

She better. . . then again I must hold in check my general disdain for politicians.
Have met a few in my time and usually the words and smile seldom match what the eyes and body language tell me.

Okay so the meeting is at 1200 today, have the old pterodactyls in the stomach (butterflies are for the weak).


I have notes to take along for my major points since with my mental health situation regarding memory I would forget stuff too easily.
I am taking along a selection of e cigs to show off to emphasise the huge differences about the place.
I will take a bottle of liquid to show the chip compliance all vendors should be following.

Now I just need to get myself presentable so I don't go along looking like a goth/rocker on a day trip. Shirt & trousers to iron and a nice shower.
Just a shame my depression related acne has decided this would be a good time to be on my face rather than the more usual haunt of my back.


Then I just need to find a calm place so I appear rational and knowledgeable at the meeting.
The MP in question should be nice and relaxed since she was at the Chancellors Dinner last night at Stirling University and was tweeting about it last night - she got to meet Judi Dench and everything.

In some ways my current mental health could be an advantage to some degree, when I'm stressed I start crying - a lot.
Could potentially make it quite memorable for my hard bitten professional politico.

You WILL be fine,just put your facts across that you ve got written down and remain calm (and be a little patient as he/ she wont be too savvy on ecigs)

The penny will drop with your MP when they realise just how quickly vaping is building up momentum (=votes)
