Before I take a hammer and gas axe to my vamo could anybody give me a few hints on stripping it down to it's component parts? (for instance removing the top) because if it is a screw fitting mine has been assembled with mega loctite!! I would rather not damage it but if it was assembled then logically it can be disassembled!!

I just put the end of mine in a vice an wiggled the body and it came straight off. The threads went in mine but I sorted it with the threaded part off a 510 auto battery. Works a treat now.
