I thought my eyes were OK - until I started trying to do coils, marginally easier than splitting an atom with a wooden spoon through the wrong end of a telescope, it`s still quite difficult....they might be just the job !

I don't need anything for coiling but I do need it for threading my sewing machine needle...what do you recommend?

Ordered mine yesterday...expected delivery 6th to the 8th July Oops, forgot to put the link in. . Ordered mine on the 3rd July and it has arrived 3 days later on the 6th July. A tad more expensive but at £4.79 with free postage within the UK and not having to wait It really is a great bit of kit. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110963441520?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I could really do with something like that. I'm just not sure whether to go for the x10 or x20 magnification.

On the 20x magnification pair, here is a photo I have just taken using my smartphone, of a coil and wick. 3mm Ekowool and .20 Kanthal sitting on a 5p piece..........still cant find the 5p piece, I do hope it has not got lodged somewhere The wick/coil was about 20mm. from the lens You also need to give some thought to the fact that looking at something as close as 20mm will not allow you to see the same thing through both lenses at the same time due to the distance between each eye-glass. This makes it slightly pointless having the double lenses, unless of course, you have one eye more dominant than the other, but for the price difference between the single lens and the double lens, you may as well have two lenses. Each lens it tip upable which, when one lens is tipped up, makes life easier to see when positioning your coil in front of the magnifier.
