Do you mean the collection tank (the thinnest section just above the 510 connection)? Have you first removed the positive pole screw?

Wrap an elastic band around it and then use pliers over the top of the elastic band (to prevent damage and give good grip) Will come off easily with that method

Hi guess you have removed the center screw first, I often resort to wrapping masking tape to each of the parts I want to unscrew, it gives very good grip. If this des not help I'll give you a tenner for the Kayfun

Yes I'm talking about the collection tank, sorry. The pole screw is removed but the tank won't budge - there's very little to get a grip of. I must have tightened too much the last time I rebuilt.
I'm not technically minded - only thing I can think of is using pliers on the thread - but that will destroy the threads, so no...
...or alternatively using something in the airhole as a lever - but I don't want to hurt my little beauty (love my kayfun) and I'm not sure what I could damage if I do that.

Is there any reason why you need the collection tank removed? Other than cleaning there is no real reason to go in there, The rubber band method will give you the grip you require to loosen it off, if you use another to get grip on the tank itself then it will be even easier

Hey guys. Tried the elastic band - shredded it. Was really just wanting to give it a clean, but I'll wait til next time and try the tape. Cheers for the input!

Another one I read was put it in the freezer for a few minutes. I couldn't get part of mine apart the other day and it worked a treat !

Hot water from the tap used to do it for me. Put some rubber gloves on or get something to grip it but not anything hard like steal that would mark it also if its a satin one they are more prone to get marked by hard objects.
