"The world has gone mad when tobacco is less regulated than products designed to end tobacco use."
That`s a fair point indeed !
although wasn`t there a time when we were all saying they`re most certainly not a quitting aid (disclaimers on sites etc) - is that still the notion or has it all changed ?

Bl**dy hell, how did he get into politics?... He's actually talking common sense. Too right. You know, as depressed as I feel just now, numbers of vaping convertees (is that a word? ) are increasing at a huge rate. I think it could become a serious issue when over 1,000,000 people are prepared to consider which side of the political divide to fall based on just one policy. More of this, and we stand a chance.

That`s a fair point indeed ! although wasn`t there a time when we were all saying they`re most certainly not a quitting aid (disclaimers on sites etc) - is that still the notion or has it all changed ? We still are saying that, but smoking has become such a dichotomy in most people's minds - you either smoke or are trying to quit. There's no room in their heads for people who love the act of smoking and nicotine but don't want to kill themselves doing it. There is a massive tendency in politics to make things black or white, x or y, for or against - very rarely do we see any shades of grey. I think I read somewhere that politicians believe we the great unwashed would not be able to understand everything (see the recent voting system referendum), and of course complex issues don't make for good soundbites. I don't foresee myself giving up vaping anytime soon, although I'm certainly not saying it'll never happen. It is still an alternative; I have quit tobacco, not inhaling nicotine. I and every other vaper clearly have room in our heads for more than two things

Our greatest defence will be in numbers - the faster it spreads, before its legislated away, the harder it will be for those with a vote to "just don't know" us all down the river.
Go forth and multiply my friends..........before those barstewards try to hammer down the nails!

I would guess from Marina's tweet, it will be all of them? Well, shame not all Conservative MPs feel the same. I received a letter from Theresa Villiers MP and she is firmly in support of MHRA.

This is probably down to the fact she may well be mis informed, you can green card them and they will have to sit down and talk to you, this is something I am looking into as at the moment I have received nothing but stock answers probably from their lackies

Well, I received a proper letter from her. I've already replied and given her details in case she doesn't know much and her opinion is based on ignorance. If necessary I will go to see her although I'm not sure how much influence, if any, she has in European Parliament. Even some of the MEPs didn't seem to have much clout going by what they told me. I am at a severe disadvantage by not being very political and not knowing how all this works.
