Indeed, I buy the pipes mainly from eBay, both new and used/vintage. Although even unfinished blanks are available and I'm getting some of those soon - like this (and others):

There's a guy in Greece with a mountain of Briar blanks also does raw churchwarden stems. I have a link thingie to his flea bay shop somewhere I'll hunt it out if you want.
