No surprise there. They are career politicians, they do it for the money! That alone makes the whole system corrupt. Hang on, lets remember what we had before we had paid politicians..... MP's started being paid in 1911, before then you had to be wealthy enough to do it on your own, or to have someone pay you to do it. Obviously you can see the sort of people this bought into politics. And you can bet that they did nothing for the pleb on the street. I don't think people should be allowed to be an MP until they have done 10 years in another job personally, but they should be paid. I think he meant they do it FOR the money, not because they love politics.

Have someone with teaching/school experience as the Education Minister, an accountant/economist as the Chancellor and so on. They might actually stand a chance of knowing WTF they're talking about that way...

Do I think "Politicians" are corrupt? and who isnt lol
MPs should just do MP work, they should bring in rules that no MP may hold any secondary job period including supposedly free jobs, they make me laugh on the pay deal we dont get enough bla blah yet many of then hold secondary or even third jobs as consultants etc and get paid a packet for that to,sorry want to be an MP then you just do just that nothing else period!

The trouble with politics is that anyone who wants to do it probably isn't a fit person To be given the responsibility.

They are people, and people in general do what they can get away with and will be selfish if they can get away with it....ooo i am feeling cynical today...its been a tough one...tomorrow i will probably like people again...but today people are in my bad books. Maybe the Chinese could build an electronic MP, it would probably be better than the real thing.

I think there must be a small minority of conviction MP's, but believe that the huge majority of ex public schoolboy career politicians are in it only for self intrest, and their contempt for middle/working class people is transparent! The political situation we have arrived at in this country, is for anyone with compassion, deeply depressing.

" Do you really think MP's are Corrupt", Not all of them, no. I partially agree with your post. Only. 99.99% are corrupt. Tease-smiley Happy vaping. jeffc jeffc, Will you accept 98 per cent ?, I personally know 2 MP's, and have done for many years, hence my post, and I have no reason to think they are corrupt in any way, never heard a bad word said against them, in fact I know of the work they and their families do behind the scenes, which is very much to the good, and goes unnoticed, as they do not seek any publicity. So I won't mention there names. Of course I knew I was going against the grain in this thread, and expected to be flamed at the least, so thanks for all the restraint. ! agree with all that has been said, regarding the corruption etc. But the question was simply, "Do you really think MP's are Corrupt" and my simple answer, No, not all. From my own personal experience. If you have any evidence of corrupt politicians, you should report them.
