Hi peeps.
Got a group buy 8W bottom firing mech mod recently; but the spring in it was too strong, managed eventually after having to replace bottom brass
adjusting screw (original destroyed being GLUED in) fitted new spring.
Refitted and the button fires now 100%, with slightest of touches.
Also acquired in same group buy a "Kick". Fitted 18500 battery + Kick, along with Kayfun Lite (2.1 ohms) atty filled with GVC.
Wow !!!! now I know what other vapers using mech mods + kicks have been on about.
The best vape I`ve had in the 10 months vaping, absolutely `brilliant`. Masses of vapour, good throat hit, and flavour in `spades`.
So glad I took the `plunge.
Happy vaping every one.

Can I suggest a 1.5 or lower coil, then take out the kick and pop in a fully charged battery.

Part of the point of a mec mod is being unregulated, but fitting a kick Turns it into a regulated device. So the only reason I can see for it is if you prefer regulated vaping but like The mec mod look.
It all comes down to what floats your boat at the end of the day.

As Mark said they come into their own with low ohm coils and no need for a kick. Kick is handy if using an atty with a higher resistance though so you've the best of both worlds if you can just pop in the kick when needed.

I got lucky and managed to get a Super T Kicklet This allows the Kick to just screw onto any 510 mech mod - without changing batteries etc. I wind about 1.2 Ohm coils which can taste a bit 'Burney' with a fresh battery - so screw on the Kicklet use for 10-20 minutes and then the batteries just right
