Sure, I don't mind tweaking recipes or inventing them, but in this case, seeing as Black Kitten is an attempt to recreate Black Cat, and I have no idea how to go about doing that by myself, I'm quite keen to follow the original recipe as closely as possible. And I'm only aware of one version of it (the one I linked to, which doesn't contain PA Sweetener), so I'm just wondering if there's more than one version kicking about.

Sorry to cause confusion kurotoshiro I tweaked romelee's BK recipe to suit me (I like sweet!) Based my tweak on Rom's use of about 2% PA sweetener in his recipes, so added 1% PA & 1% Vanillin  

I have re-read my post and you're right I don't make what I am saying very clear do I? (I bet Super-Shiny was wondering what I was going on about too!! Sorry Super-Shiny !!    )

Ah, thanks for that, I get it now!

I might have a go at adding a little bit of sweetener myself, to see how it affects the overall taste. I've tried the (original) Black Kitten recipe, and although it does come quite close to the flavour of Black Cat, it seems to me a bit more thick and cloying and lacking in some taste I can't quite put my finger on (possibly a hint of aniseed which Black Cat seems to contain - although I could be completely wrong about that).
