Plinth/ Collar/ Thingy

Sorry for all the odd questions lately but I am trying to get myself a decent selection of bits and pieces together.

Certain tanks/ clearomisers have a 510 fitting rather than an ego fitting so they kind of sit in the top part of your battery.
I believe I have this right.
I know you can buy something to cover it so that it all looks neat, but what is it?

I think it's called a plinth or collar, just as you have in the title

so depending which tank you have depends on which collar you buy.
Does the mini protank need one as that is what I have on order .

It may come with one
My Protank 1 cane in a little box with a plinth and 2 spare coils

[edit] no sorry, the mini protank uses the ego threading

Think the mini protank comes with a collar/plinth.

I still have loads of vip cartos that fit on a 510 rubbish 180 mAh cigalike batteries. Would it be possible to put these cartos on a different battery ( I have got 1300 spinners and ego q batteries ) with one of these collars?
Maybe this is a stupid question, but I won't know if I don't ask

Make sure you get a Nova plinth if that's what you're going to be using it with. The Nova plinth has air slots whereas the Protank one doesn't.

I'm going to say yes I believe so .
You could pop it on now and use it , but one of the collars would fit to make it look more streamlined, I just don't know which one which isn't much help to you.

I'm not sure if you could use something like an ego cone with those
