Anyone else got one?
Mine is like a bit of scrubland, I just don't have enough time to spend there.
On the other hand, I had a good crop of Strawberries this year and at the moment I am overrun with Courgettes, some rapidly approaching s size where they are generating their own gravity!
My runner beans seem a bit late and the same goes for the french beans.
I also have 3 pots with Tumbling Toms in there and they are doing well, they are so sweet to taste.
I have also just had my first crop of Cucumbers, they're the outdoor type (like you buy when you're abroad) with thick knobbly skin that you have to peel before eating, but the flavour is outstanding, much better than the watery one's you get in the supermarket.
So does anyone else "indulge"?

Just given ours up Des, as my hubbies knee was so bad he really struggled. We had three allotments side by side and as this was a lot of ground he had to use a rotavator. Now sold rotavator, cultivator, greenhouse, sheds and chickens. We loved it down there but hubby has a mate that will let him go and potter around on his. he will also give us fresh veg etc as he grows too much for himself. Had the first runner beans yesterday, they were yummy

I picked a handful of runner beans and a handful of French Beans yesterday but I don't like runner beans so my GF got those. With my glut of Courgettes I have just a few minutes ago made a big pan of Courgette Soup, I just had half a bowl with a bit of Pesto in it and it was lovely I have just bought some extra vinegar so am going to make some Courgette "Glutney" but I'll wait till Friday as I have a day off to do that. I'm going to have a Greek Salad made with one of my cucumbers for my dinner. Here's a picture of a couple of my Courgettes that have grown a bit big with my Evod in front for size comparison.

Hubby will love pottering about on his mate's allotment once he is mobile again ( had knee replacement last week ). I love runner beans, I actually steamed them yesterday for the first time, just yummy We always had a glut of tomatoes so I use to make tomato soup. Any homemade soup is scrummy I reckon. We used to pickle beetroot when there was too much to eat fresh, I still have some in the cupboard. Made chutney too, I am going to miss it but one thing we didn't have that hubby's mate has got is apple trees. So apple crumbles will still be on the menu

I notice a distinct lack of basic vegetation in this list.
IE Nicotiana Tabacum More commonly know as the Tobacco Plant.
Come on Mr Greenfingers, there's a ready market just waiting to test your produce!!!!

Nah not got one, want one though, there are some just around the corner from us, long waiting list though and they are a fair bit of work cos they are not exactly small plots you get.
