The story has now leaked into the major newspapers.

I still havnt had no reply from the newspaper im going to give Paul Bartlett a call Monday or Tuesday i think,

You could also attend the Full Council meeting on the 19th July Roachie . . . there will be a section for any members of the Public to make their views known on this proposal.

Maybe sit there having a jolly good vape . . . .

A proposal as radical as this should have had some public consultation I'd have thought from citizen's of Stony Stratford.

I was differing weather to go tbh and yes sit there having a nice old vape hehe.But tbh it doesnt look as tho as if the proposal has been made public till it hit the papers.

Im glad clutter brang this article up as i wasnt sure if it was gonna be stupid me putting this up in here as it was only a local story.But seems as tho its gotten more wide spread now.Which could be a lil more pushing for stony to make it a no smoking ban.Which will involve more public spending as you said for enforcers to go upto smokers and say "naughty put that out" lol.So this is gonna be very interesting in the turns this will take.

I was thinking if this goes ahead could Milton Keynes be the first non smoking city in the UK as i dont think any other places in Uk have this?

I wonder how the pollution output from Cllr Bartlett's car compares with the pollution output from a cigarette? Tobacco smoke won't be blowing in the face of toddlers, prams and buggies but exhaust fumes will. I think he is misusing his position to promote his own private hobby horse.

If littering is the problem there are already bye laws to deal with cig butts.

Couldn't agree more Clutty . . . and it's something that happens on a regular basis from what I've seen on local Councils.

I do hope Roachie is able to attend to report back on the proceedings.
