I've got four 18350 batteries which when charged stop at 4.2 volts, I've checked this with a multimeter and thers a .1 discrepancy. When I use the battery it stops working at 4 volts, so I'm really getting very little use before putting them on charge again. Is that right, I thought they would drop down to around 3.6-3.7 volts before the protection kicked in? It's possible I've misunderstood how the protection works, so if someone could clarify I'd be grateful. Thanks .

.1v discrepancy is fine, unless you have a very good multimeter .1v is probably the meters accuracy.
Which batteries did you get? (link please) I thought the protection was to the current output, not the voltage (I may be wrong) so maybe your PV is drawing more current than the protection circuit threshold so they're cutting out.

Read the review on the Fasttech site about the current limit with low ohm atomisers.
What device are you using, what resistance atomiser?

Thanks DiscoDes, they're in a Cube and the atomiser resistance is 2.8 ohm, which I checked with the multimeter. It's a standard vivi nova.

Mine are Ultrafire protected and drop to about 3.6v no matter what I use them in.

Thanks guys. I'll be ordering stuff from Fasttech soon, so I'll get a few of the batteries you linked to and try them out.

I've got a couple of the batteries Des linked to, and they're way better than the Ultrafires I have from fasttech
