Phoenixflame (Julie) and I are setting off from here at around 11am so we can have a nice leisurely drive down and not get stressed out about possibly missing the qualies when we get stuck in traffic at Stonehenge for an hour! If you want to avoid SH you can leave the A303 on the A338 (Salisbury) and back out on the A36 (Warminster) to the A303 again. It will add about 9 miles and 25 mins to the journey but if the A303 is busy it can save you at least half an hours queuing. Especially useful if your car is an old banger and prone to overheat as it keeps you moving. |
