right my newest gadget is the epower only had it a few days been using standard 510 atties i had from other kits this morning when i went to use it attie did not fire up the e unit flashed a few times then nothing so took the same attie put it back on my standard 510 battery hey presto it worked so i changed the batt in e unit still the same figured it must have a fault so was writting an e-mail to supplier. decided to try one of the atties that came with the kit before giving supplier any grief, epower up and running again so firstly and just to be sure that im not doing wrong here does the epower run on standard 510 atties, is that what is supplied in the box and if so does this mean that my older atties are on the way out and need replaced?
sorry to go on a bit as always thanks for any help given

The e-Power should definately work with standard attys Lordy - as should all devices.
It may have a problem with LR attys if it has the same switch set up as the BW510, but it is from a different manufacturer, so can't say for sure.
It will have been supplied with standard resistance attys, so I would stick with them.

thanks guys as far as i know all my atties are standard resistance as they are all from 510 starter kits (thanks for the free drip tips jason) am now thinking that the attie is on the way out and this i believe lowers the resistance (just a guess really)

I have a similar problem with my pass through; some atties work, some don't; but all my atties work on my Riva.
With the atties that don't work on my pass through, the light on my powered USB hub goes from green to 'out'; but with atties that do work, it stays green (maybe the green dims a little). But as I say, all the atties work with my Riva.
Strange!

I'm not actually familiar with the E Power at all, but have found some incompatibility issues with 'genuine' Joye Tank atties and some cartomizers refusing to work with 'non-genuine' eGo-type batteries.
In some cases this can be resolved by tightening the connection further if the threads will allow for this, which I must admit I really don't think is a good solution. I've even managed to get things to work by using adapters in between the two, which strongly suggests that it is a failure to make a good contact that is causing this.
There's always some kind of silicon gasket type of thingy keeping centre contact posts separated from the outer threads (which I gather form the second contact) so suspecting that these may be getting crushed by overtightening isn't a terribly comfortable feeling.
Perhaps the Chinese aren't quite so good at copying each other's kit as we think they are, after all. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this type of incompatibility problem, it is a downright blerdy nuisance!!

the big problem with all this equipment is quality control and common ground between manufactures as stated with the bw510n and exo mods. manufactures when selling kits will supply atomizers that match up with the mod/batteries in specific kits but dont take into concideration that people will use other bits of non standard equipment. it seems a lot of these chinese companys are churning out atomizers that will work with some mods and damage others as they dont state whats compatible and what is not. most of the electronics in these chinese mods was configured for when they first came out and hasnt moved on since the release of all the new types of lower resistance atomizers. the other thing i should mention about quality control is the length of some atomizers as between companys some have a longer thread and if screwed in to far will push down the centre of the mod/battery connection and damage it so a shorter atomizer will no longer work, all the these problems are down to manufacturing and not having a set industry standard between themselves. i hope the mods dont mind me linking to another forum here but if you read through some of trogs posts in the thread it may explain this in detail a little better. ukvapers.com/topic/6739-510-n-kit-test-sample/
