I'm strange ( yes I know you know that........ ) insofar as I always have at least one thing on the go. I was born inquisitive & everything I see, touch or read about, I have to investigate......Knowledge & being able to say...." I know how to do that" intrigue me & I get immense satisfaction in accomplishing tasks that I set myself....I don't like being idle....I can't say I'm a master at anything, but my capabilities are diverse.....I wish I'd been an inventor......I have invented one thing along with a mate when I lived abroad, but never persued it.....at present, my mind is blinkered with vaping, hence the Mod Stands, badges, car stickers etc......things that can help or benefit myself & other people.......Unfortunately, age has started to prevent me from persuing physical hobbies, but my brain is more overactive than it's ever been........

I have hit a crossroads in my life. Most of the things I really enjoyed are out of the question now I am disabled and I am having to think of things that fit in with that. I must say that I've not come up with much yet. My problem is that I was very much an outdoors kind of person. Woodland walking, sight seeing, travelling, swimming, boating gardening. I also enjoy searching for Collectables and antiques, but places such as car boot sales are often on grass which is no good. I have only just found out I can start swimming again as the local pool has a disability hoist to allow wheelchair users to get in and out of the pool. Until I can afford an all terrain wheelchair (ridiculously expensive) then I am limited to pavement trips and easy access places. Boating is completely finished now.

Me and my wife recently bought a house so I got a bunch of new hobbies. The dude that lived there before was a certified retard with electricity, plumbing, woodwork etc etc. My old hobbies are computers and as of a few months making mods So my new hobbies include redoing electric wiring Plumbing Redoing walls Repairing leaky roofs And all the other stuff that can go wrong with a house

One of my favourite walks in a nearby woods actually offer the use of an all terrain mobility scooter for FREE. They are keen on promoting the fact that anyone can enjoy the outdoors. I may be worth looking to your local council to see if they offer such a service. A link to the page is here.

Thanks rincewind but I cannot use scooters comfortably for long periods due to my spinal problems. As you say, several places do kindly offer scooters, but not all terrain chairs. This would do me perfectly, but look at the price!! www.allterrainwheelchairs.co.uk/extreme-x8/I shall keep buying a lottery ticket lol

Does searching the internet for the latest vaping gismo count??? Wow ... A life outside vaping ... I might try it I do find that while vaping I can write however, and am STILL editing the book I wrote last year. It has always been my ambition to write a book, and I did ... That was the easy bit. Rewriting is a lot harder especially for someone with mild dyslexia I can get the spelling sorted with spell check, but punctuation drives me nuts, when I am reading "normally." I don't even see it. I have trained myself to spot the mistakes I know I automatically make, but when it gets to the complicated stuff ... it's hell That and reading all the advice on how not to write, boring/confusing people, rewriting whole swathes of text ... deleting whole swathes of text that took days to write ... It's a fantasy novel, if anyone is interested, and the few people who have read it can't wait for me to write the next one, which is the best praise I can hope for. I need to get this one to the point where I can "go public" with it first. Writing for my own pleasure is one thing, but it would be more satisfying if people actually want to read them, without going cross eyed at the punctuation and/or getting bored and wandering off. Vaping is much better than the stinkies, when I get lost in writing I would chain light cigs, take one puff, then forget them til they burnt out, and repeat the process :Di Small world, I have a friend in Denmark that wrote a book only last year. Fantasy too. Ponder....
