My new Evod 650 cart has leaked, not loads. I have a habit of checking the battery for leakage every time i refill with liquid (just to be careful) and noticed some liquid on the battery which i wiped with cotton buds if i tighten securely then i notice that its really difficult to unscrew when i need to refill i have also noticed a fair bit of crackling and gurgling when i press on the battery button, is this normal? sorry for the questions but only had my evod for 30 hrs and not sure what is normal

snout71 The small drop of juice on the battery and the gurgling are almost certainly caused by getting juice in the central air hole when refilling the clearo. Your best bet is to get a needle cap for your juice bottle or use a syringe to add the juice ... more accurate than the dropper tip. Crackling or popping is nowt to worry about - just the coil doing its job of vaporising the juice. EDIT: Don't tighten the clearo onto the battery too tightly as you may damage the battery positive terminal by forcing it down too far.

Ok what am I doing wrong...
I have a mega davide and I keep putting protank heads on it. Rewicking it with 5 coils of Kanthal 0.2 and like 3mm silica and it still gurgles and floods after just a few puffs. At first it tastes really burnt then after a short time vaping (no longer than one day) it gurgles and floods....
Is it time to buy a new Davide or something more minor? I have it on a smok sidewinder (semi mechanical mod)
Thanks
Jane

Try it with the original Davide head & see if it still leaks.............I had the same problem after using pro tank heads on Davide's, but it cured itself with it's own heads...........

Thanks chrisjw ....have no idea where I've put the original davide heads...any idea who sells them? Off hand I don't, but I did notice that the knurled funnel bit on the pro tank, which pushes on over the wick, is a bit wider at the top than the Davide....not sure if it's that which causes the gurgling.

Yeah I'll agree it's possible, but the main point is, don't tighten everything up as tight as you can, it will cause early failure and only lead to being disappointed. Wish I had read this a couple of days ago.....done in two iclear 16 tips doing just this....Doh!

I noticed gurgling/leakage on my new ProTank 3
After some investimigation I figured out the following:
On top of the coil head is a small rubber cap - This is needed when you screw the base on to the body, it forms a seal between itself and the funnel which come through the body from the driptip.
I fixed mine by getting another of the small rubber caps from an old coil head which I was just about to throw away, and by putting it over the already inplace rubber cap
My guess is the normal seal is only just about sealing with one cap on. Adding this second cap then really screwing the base tight has stopped the gugrling and leakage on mine
