I have a gurgling/leaking issue - but only ever with Joose Juice vanilla liquid. Same clearo with another liquid, no leaking or gurgling. Is this even scientifically possible?

Hi Sooze and Please say hello to everyone in the New members board In answer to your question, YES because liquids can be different consistency, some thicker than others. What atomiser are you using?

Hi, and thanks I'm using a basic ego battery with cheapy clearos, so a little leakage isn't the end of the world at all - I just found it puzzling. And awkward, as I've taken to carrying cotton buds around with me to give it a clear out every so often. Heading over to the New members board now!

SoozeIf you ask your question over on the beginners board loads of people will chip in with their recommendations. Mine would be, if your budget allowed a MiniProtank or Evod these have swappable heads, if you can get the 1.8 ohm or 2 ohm heads, this is a nice tank, a little more to buy initially but the heads are good and cheap to replace. They can be found HEREOrder today and they will be with you tomorrow or the next day.

Just want to pop in and say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread but of course 'freefromsmoking' who got it going. I've just passed my four months and am so chuffed, so it was a shocker this weekend when everything went belly up! It seemed that all my clearos went wonky…my batteries went wonky (so I thought) and my husband and I went very wonky! Becuase of my huge equipment 'failure' he decided to take charge and clean everything…and he did, to perfection, whilst trying to keep me calm. He bought me new batteries and clearos but I still had a problem with leaky bits, gurgly bits and today I REALLY, REALLY wanted a stinky (first time in 4 months and I was disgusted with myself - but with trying to diet as well, cos of the HUGE weight gain - I'm not happy about that - well..) I was stressed - big time. I've enjoyed my success and today I felt…well I felt shitty! Then I decided to come on here and whoop, the first post I found was this one. And I am so pleased to say that I am back to normal and so is my stuff. Yep, I/we were screwing the drippy thing too tightly, screwing everything too tightly in fact…Normality has resumed. (And I've learned about that awful disgusting burning…ewwww - enought to make one throw up) Thank you all so much for giving your wise advice and for being here in my hour of need... All I have to do now is work out how to get rid of the weight. I'm miffed with that because I honestly thought that it was the nicotine that kept the old metabolism up…obviously it is something else in them thar rotten stinkies that do it...

tigerlillyWell done on your 4 month stinkie free As to the weight gain, do you vape "sweet" flavours as many on here find if they vape these it helps with their naughty cravings. Think of it like this, a few pounds on is much "healthier" than inhaling burning leaves into you lungs. Good luck, keep it up.

My tip? Buy a mini protank, mine have never leaked or gurgled, they are fab! I had a problem with a mini protank which I bought on eBay as part of a cheap kit with extra coil heads. It worked fine at first until I changed the coil. It gurgled really badly and leaked from the small air holes on the bottom bit. I stripped it down and cleaned it out thoroughly, checked the o rings etc. and reassembled. Still the same and I was going to jettison it and put it down to experience when I noticed that the coil didn't seem to be making a connection to the central pipe when I held it upside down in front of the light. The coil plastic doobrie? on top of the wick wasn't the correct length and was leaving a gap. Hadn't noticed this before because of the dark juice I was using. I solved by adding another plastic bit and all was restored. Turns out the main body of the mini is a Kangertech but the bottom isn't the same as the ones shown online. The original advert never stated that it was a genuine protank so I didn't bother to pursue the matter with the vendor. In any case I had learned a bit about the construction of attys and their care and maintenance etc.

I'm having this problem with gurgling and poor vape on both my iclear30 and Nautilus tanks. They were OK when I first used them but they've both started acting up recently, so I changed the heads on both but it hasn't helped.
The iclear30 has the wicks at the top and it doesn't look to me like the plastic cap, which has two slots for the highest wicks but not for the two lower ones, would actually seal it off and stop liquid getting inside and the max fill line is above the two lowest wicks but even if you filled it less, just tipping it would move the liquid up. Mind you, it's the same with my iclear16 tank and I'm not having this problem with that at the moment.
The Nautilus has the wicks at the bottom and I don't think those sort of heads leave any room around the wick for liquid to get in but I'm not sure. Either way, I'm having the same problem with it.
When I fitted the new head to the iclear30, I did get a nasty sharp burning taste but I guess that's because the wick is dry, so I imagine you need to tilt the tank around when filling it to make sure the top of the wick gets saturated.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any advice on how to fix them.

What battery are you using doveman? Nautilus gets plenty of liquid inside the coil. In fact, I took a BVC and a BDC apart today to examine how they work. The more likely problem is not having the power to vapourise all that liquid.

doveman are the Nautilus heads BVC or BDC? If BVC check the 4 small holes at the bottom of the coil. There's a metal sleeve inside the head which restricts the juice flow. I've found a couple where the sleeve was misaligned and allowed too much juice through. I take the coil & filler out to recoil them so it's just a matter of holding it up to the light. Won't be so easy to tell with the filler inside though. djs can you remember where you left the kanthal?

The more likely problem is not having the power to vapourise all that liquid. I'm alternating between a standard Spinner (1300mah I think) and a Clover 2600mah, which both go from 3.3v to 4.8v Are you saying that the Nautilus vapourises more liquid per second than another tank would? I've never looked into exactly what goes on inside the coil but I thought they all just vapourised whatever was on the part of the wick that's internal, with the rest of the wick there just to absorb the liquid and bring it to that internal point where the magic happens
