I know there are lots of posts on here and other places to put my in the right direction and I have read through a lot of them. But........ What I want to avoid is the trend for vapers which seems to be buy the cheap model get used to it then buy a better one. I don't want to do that and I am looking at a Kayfun 3.1 straight out the gate. Am I mad???? I know the RSST is very forgiving for a beginner in the wicking and coiling process but I have already done a fair bit of research and will continue to do so before buying one. Can anyone tell me if I am being plain stupid or if this is actually a viable option? As for Mech MOD's there are hundreds and I know how they work etc but does it matter which one I buy? Or is this all personal preference? I will have a couple of back up VV and VW devices for when inevertibly it goes wrong and I get stressed out with it All advice and comments is appreciated

Kayfun lite is great for the price, same as the 3.1 apart from the adjustable draw. I have both and I actually prefer the lite as the draw suits me spot on and I prefer the fill screw to the valve. As for the mech mod, do you have a budget in mind?

the kayfun is nice and easy for first attempts at silica coils, its not unlike many of the recent bottom coil plastic devices from china in the way it works. You don't really need to use a mec mod to get it to perform well. I got my second kayfun today, they all work really well, the larger ones being slightly easier to setup as you have a bit more space on the coil deck.

I know I don't need a mech MOD but some of them are works of art so it is a case of want one more than need one As for budget I guess no more than £200 all in? So the Kayfun sounds like it would be ok to start with then?

Kayfun Light is a good choice. You can play with the set-ups quite a bit once you get used to them. I've got two now and never really had a bad set-up with any style of wiick.
I've just bought an N-Zonic V3, which a friend of mine sourced for me in the US. Just loving it, and looks fantastic with the Kayfun. Currently running it with just a straight battery, but have used a Kick in it and it's truly awesome.

I currently run a couple of kayfun lites on a couple of nemesis mods fitted out with kick2's - Outstanding vape. But, as Markm said above- the kayfun lite will work very well on a vamo or an evic ect Paps x will be released very soon from here www.vapist.net/Gp_Series_by_Vapourart/cat2068658_1898061.aspx or here www.vapourart.com/en/product-catalog/25 and that promises to be a great mod, you could be one of the first to own one - put a kick2 in there and you'll be buying nothing else for a very good while

I may have jumped the gun then. Never mind, I have just purchased a dingo from the for sale section and just put an order in for a KFL from C9V

You won't regret betting the KFL ginge7289, mine arrived this morning and its brilliant. I had a feeling I was going to be disappointed with it or I wasn't going to coil it successfully but I have too say its great. Easy to set up, very well made, loads of flavour and vapour. I wish I had got one when I started out.

This will be my first go at coiling and wicking an RBA so I still have a lot of you tube videos to watch but I think I have spent my money on the right product, well I hope :0 Now I need to find an awesome juice to go in it

I learned how to set it up with some of the posts on here and youtube vids, my first attempt was poor as I'd strangled the wick, second was spot on, I've hardly put the thing down all day. I had a rest earlier as I'd had a bit to much nic

What are these kick things I keep reading about? They are a device that fits inside a mech mod in order to give you variable wattage.
