Then try this, I did and was so impressed I bought Scott Bonner, I copied how he set up the coil, only I used .25 kanthal and was so surprised how easy it was, and it worked first time, non of that hot spot crap, no oxydising the mesh, and the little stash of mesh I have will last a lifetime as you only use a 10mm strip at a time. I did it on an Aga T, and yeah it even works on them, flavour is brilliant, as good as dripping imo, well it is with Afro Dizziac, a fair bit of vapour, not exceptional, but on a par with most everything else, and this is the first time I've tried it, did I say I was impressed, I will confess it took a little while for the coil to bed in/the wick to start wicking properly as in about an hour, the wick is tiny, tiny I say Anyhow for anybody who hasn't sold their Aga t's t2's etc try this, and for newcomers go straight to doing it this way, far less hassle and more impressive results, many thanks Scott for doing the video Andy How to do the coil from 6min 15 secs. I'll need to give this a try later when the Aga-T2 arrives. My Aga-S was being a royal pain in the @ss last night.
Resistance was jumping around regardless of what I did, so I gave up on it & went back to my £5 dripper, which worked flawlessly as you'd imagine.

Not given up on them for wicking and coiling reasons but because the juices I vape taste much better with silica.

Tried this on my T2 and it wouldn't wick fast enough at 10 watts. This was with 500 mesh & a 50/50 juice.
Tried it with a bigger wick using the drill bit method & it just about keeps up if I take 30secs or so between each puff.
I never smoked any kind of 'roll-ups' when I was younger, so looks like I need to practice my wick making skills.
