Having dabbled with a couple of straight 4.2v mods and a small VV tin mod, I thought I would have a crack at something a little more “Upmarket”. The mod has been made for an older gentleman who has rheumatoid arthritis and struggles with tube mods. He wanted something he could hold in both hands, and with the fire button towards the bottom. I used a V2 board as it is easier for him to see the readout. It takes two 18650 batts in parallel, or four 18350 batts stacked, so he doesn’t need to change them very often. The lid is rebated and fits pretty snug, but since taking the photo’s I have added 4 x 3mm Neodymium Magnets to the top and bottom. This keeps the lid on pretty secure but not too difficult to remove. The stainless mounting for the Vamo board was made by hand as I don’t have access to any serious cutting tools or CNC etc. (just a poor locksmith) I have 3 more Vamo PCB's and 3 more bare boxes ready to build, but haven't got a lot of time at the moment and making the mounting plates takes quite a while. However if anybody is interested please PM for details. Thanks for looking.
