Hi there, I just started vaping last week after I found this forum and it's Tips For Newbies thread and it's Riva 1100 Step By Step guide. After reading those threads I went to vapeescape and bought the Riva 1100 starter kit last Monday. I sampled Virginia, Menthol and Cherry and everything was going fine(I haven't had a fag since), a couple of days later we bought my GF a starter kit too. My problem started today though. We liked the Virginia and Cherry and ordered 60ml of the former and 30ml of the latter, however I've opened one bottle of the Virginia juice and it tastes differently from the sample bottle I first tried. Both are 18mg in strength but this 30ml bottle frankly isn't as nice, it's kind of tasteless compared to the sample bottle I bought. Is this unusual?Should I ask vapeescape what's up? I've tried it in three different cartomisers and my girlfriend agrees it's not the same stuff. In the meantime I've been adding some of the cherry sample to the Virginia cartomiser to give a nicer taste and I'll continue doing that so it doesn't go to waste. But has anyone heard of this happening before? Could it be a bad bottle? Should I open the second bottle to check it or should I just contact vapeescape first? Thanks, and hello again

Welcome to AAEC! I think that you probably need to let the new juice steep for a few days to let the flavour develop?

Welcome to you Gilbert . . . and congratulations. I'd contact your Vendor if you aren't in any way happy, Vape Escape have a great reputation for excellent customer service. There are also a couple of other possibilities, your taste buds are starting to change as they recover from the effects of smoking . . . or they are getting tuned in to the flavour. It's worth finding 3 or 4 flavours that you enjoy and alternate between them, to help prevent that.

Vapeescape juice is freshly mixed and needs a few days to steep before you use it. Minimum 48hrs

Hello and gilbertvapeI would say let the 30ml bottle steep for ahwile as lal says, sample bottles are already steeped but 30ml bottles need steeping as they are normally freshly made. Keep the 30ml bottles in a cool dark place for 1 week for the steeping method and it will come too life.

Was it from this 30ml range you bought Gilbert? www.vapeescape.co.uk/E-Liquids/30ml-Bottles/I thought these were premixed, unlike Griz's, but I'll happily stand corrected as I don't buy ready mix anymore, so I'm a bit out of touch.

I have bought a good few Grizwald 30ml bottles. They are freshly made and tend not to taste anywhere near as good as the samples until the liquid has steeped.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone Yes it was those I bought. Do they need steeped? I don't think it's my tastebuds because the Virginia sample still tasted good earlier(finished now though)

As Vendors can't respond on the New Members Board, I've PM'd Jason with a link to your thread and to ask him the question myself, as I'd like to know for future reference.

Hi and welcome Gilbert,
Although extremely happy with the juice vendors I've found on this site, I did once encounter exactly the same differences between a sample and a larger bottle. I've used that same vendor many times since and had no further issues.
In their defence though, I suspect the difference may amount to little more than a few drops of flavour concentrate, quite difficult to measure I imagine, especially in a small sampler bottle.
Buying from large-scale producers (often chinese) may offer more mix consistency but these will usually offer far less flavour combinations to explore.
Personally I prefer the custom mixing service and range of flavours available from our UK based vendors, even if there is an ocassional disparity between flavours.
Having said that, taste buds change quite drastically during the first few weeks off stinkies, as do the juices if left to steep for a week.
