Looking for major throat hit, I always use 36mg and even this doesn't always hit the spot on a 510 with LR cartos. I'm considering a 5v box mod in the future and was wondering if the 101 from Liberty Flights is the way to go? Is it any good? Thanks.

It is absolutely EXCELLENT Lindsay.I have my 101 running with an Arry carto tank with a 3ohm Boge inside it.Mega throat thump and faff free vaping to.I hold the 101 in very high regard,im looking for another as backup for the one i have.I reviewed it a very long time ago when it first hit Liberty Flights,i still rate it as the best 5v box you can get.

Lindsay
I was in the same boat as you a while back and ended up getting a Variable Voltage Dual 18650 Mod from Rob "Throathit" over a UK Vapers. It runs between 3.4v and 5.8v and has a 510 fitting on top and vapes great! Especially combined with a Dual-Coil Cart...
Check it out at any rat - at £80, its a hell of a lot cheaper than a ProVari!
Later...

I can also vouch for the 101 Box Lindsay.
Does exactly what it says on the tin and is very reliable.

A Provari is only an extra £30 or so.I also used to own a Throathit VV mod and they are also great. It just depends what you want really,i can tell you though that if you got a 101 you would not be dissapointed

Thanks for the info and suggestions. I think I will go for the 101, (when I have some spare cash) as fabulous as it sounds, I'm not sure I can stretch to £80 for the variable voltage, also, it's probably a bit technical for me

re:5v mod..... with the LR cartos on the 510...isn't that already giving the equivalent feel of 5v?

re:5v mod..... with the LR cartos on the 510...isn't that already giving the equivalent feel of 5v? It goes some way towards it, but not quite the same. You seem to get more flavour at 5V using standard resistance cartomisers than using LR cartomisers at 3.7V, if that makes sense.

Have ordered the 101 and some 3.ohm cartomisers, can I use the dual coils on this? not really feeling them on my Tornado or SD.

I think the answer to that is yes and no Lindsay. I have not had any problems myself, but I have only used the 101 for brief tests. I think that Garry told me that it does occasionally 'trip' the 101. But, if it does, you can just take the batteries out and put them back in again. I'm not a 101 expert so someone else may elaborate

Well, it came on Saturday...got to say it's pretty damn good! Loads of vapour, great throat hit with a regular 510 cartomiser, best of all is the flavour...much more pronounced than at 3.7 with an LR cartomiser. Brilliant.
