Hope someone can help me with this one. It's a bit hard to describe:
i usually vape on 8.5-9.5w with 2.3-2.6ohm evods, ce4' vivis. I usually get a decent fug of vapour but since last night it's completely gone.
i was using a ce4 last night, took it off to refill, put it back on and the draw was completely different. Airy and weak. I took it off and tried an evod and it was the same. ALL of my clearos now draw like it was on about 3w with a very light vapour. I'm having to draw for about 3 times as long to get anything near what I used to. On top of that the satisfying 'rattlesnake' noise you get on a vamo with higher watts has gone completely. Of course the first thing I tried w upping the wattage but as per ususal anything above about 11.5 gives a burnt taste.
i use an ego/510 adapter to save the vamo threads and I took it off, gave everything a good vodka and cotton bud clean down, and tried with and without the adaptor and no difference. Then I thought it might be the battery but it still reads about 3.8v and I'm waiting for my other battery to charge to try that.
anyone got any idea what's going on?

I'd ve thought the low power reading would come up if it was the battery... The fact it's still allowing you to use it would suggest an internal prob in the Vamo .... IMH (and very limited) O....

Heya,
Just wondering, did you accidently switch it to AVG voltage or RMS?
*from the user manual*
VOLTAGE TYPE: Voltage to the atomising device can be provided in two ways from the mod. RMS and AVG. It is recommended that users use the RMS (Root Mean Square) mode as this will be a more reliable and accurate method of delivering consistently accurate voltage. • Hold either the + OR -button for 10 seconds to toggle between modes. • RMS mode = N02 displayed on screen • AVG mode = N01 displayed on screen Whatever version of the mod you may have the voltage method should be remembered even when batteries are changed.

I d wait and see how the other battery works out before looking any further. Unless you have a meter to check the voltage of the battery the vamo is showing is true?
Only other thing i can think of trying just now is checking for any hot spots (on the neg end to see if theres any resistance any where else, but with the vamo showing 3.8 v i doubt thats the case) so cheap option first = battery tested and take it from there

Clean all the Vamo connections, including the battery terminals inside. (edit - sorry, I've just read that you tried this)
It could possibly be that the centre pin on the Vamo has been pushed down a little far, leading to a dodgy connection. This can be temporarily fixed by using a mini screwdriver and prying up the centre piece a little. Then screw your atty on but not too tight.
