I bought 2 batteries for my vamo in June, I notice now that both of them are charging very quickly and also running out very quickly. Does that mean the batteries are on the way out or is likely to be the charger at fault?

padiho If they are decent batteries .... efest, AW, panasonic, sony etc it is unlikely to be the batteries after such a short time. However if they are anything containing "fire" (ultrafire, trustfire) or any other cheap rubbish then it could well be. If the batteries are a good make then the charger is suspect but try cleaning all contacts on batteries and charger before scraping the charger as dirty contact points can also cause this problem.

Thanks freefromsmoking. I'm not sure what they are, I ordered them from Fastech with the vamo. There are no named markings on them so presume they must be cheap rubbish. I'll follow your suggestions and order some others if it doesn't work. Thank you

ETA: Fastech do good panasonic batteries in 18650 but no 18350s

Yes, +1 to freefromsmoking. Cheap, unbranded batteries have a very limited number of charge/discharge cycles before their capacity drops. Then they charge quickly and last for less and less time. I had four cheap ones, after a couple of months only one was still usable and even that was poor. Buy cheap: buy twice. I bought a Spinner next, and that seems to be much better.

My Efest ones are doing the same and I only bought them in June.
Panasonic ones from Fasttech are doing ok but I only started using them beginning of August.

Try cleaning the contacts on battery and charger as even a light film of grime can cause a bad connection and result in this sort of problem. Efest batteries should realistically have a life span of 300 recharges minimum, and 400 - 500 with regular cleaning and recharging before they have full discharged.
