Hi and a massive from a 2 day old newbie. This is an amazing site which offers great advice and support. I've learnt so much already and asked the most stupid question but wasn't made to feel dumb. Keep going and let us know what juices you like.

I'd just like to say thank you to all the people on here who have so generously provided advice and guidance to all newbies. I started vaping a couple of months ago and found the experience bewildering - it's a whole new world with a strange language all its own. I did some research, failed to understand most of what I found out so panicked and spent money; fortunately I hedged my bets and bought from 2 vendors because if I had only dealt with one of them then I would have given up very quickly and gone back to rollies. Everything went well for a couple of weeks until I realised there had to be more to this lark if I was going to stay off cigarettes; I wasn't entirely happy with my pretend ciggies (even though I had a very smart PCC kit) and I hadn't found a juice which inspired me to stick with although I had acouple which were OK (I did have some which were positively revolting so OK was good!). I got back on my computer and started reading things a bit more carefully; I kept finding links to forums but was a bit apprehensive, I took the plunge and spent quite a lot of time reading bits and pieces here and there. Hence the thank you; AECC is friendly, welcoming and not at all intimidating. I have learned so much just reading various threads in here, I have found things to buy and where to buy them and been able to read reviews and experiences to help me choose more wisely. Thank you one and all. Hi and welcome it's a fab forum and everyone is so helpful , I've only been vaping a while and love it ! Also love browsing and buying new gear! Must be the addictive personality of an ex smoker )

This is exciting - thank you again for your lovely welcomes. Questions now - I'm looking for help with flavours. I have a raspberry juice from Puffin liquids which hints at being really good but just isn't strong enough, I want a proper, full on raspberry taste. I went for Puffin cos there was an option for extra raspberry, this still isn't enough!!! Too many years of smoking, obviously. I also tried Vermillion River's Kentucky Premium Blend - again it's nearly there but not quite, just a little too sweet. I'm hoping that with all the experience available in this forum someone will point me in the right direction and save me from buying any more stuff that I'm not quite sure what to do with. I did stumble across T Max's snake oil which is incredible but I couldn't vape it all day.

...which is incredible but I couldn't vape it all day. There is often talk of finding an "all day vape". My question is..... why? One of the great advantages of vaping over smoking is that there are hundreds of different flavours to choose from, not just the one you're limited to with fags. I've sampled many, many juices and have come to the conclusion I don't want an all-day vape. What I do have, however, is several EDVs (every day vapes) i.e. juices that I will vape at some point most days. I have half a dozen firm favourites and that's all I need now. Happy hunting!

Add a few drops at a time and shake it well before trying it and continue to add a little each time until it is satisfactory. Flavours are available from a lot of vendors ... I use Liberty Flights as they have a very comprehensive range www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=15 Note that adding more flavour will dilute the strength of the nicotine by a very small amount.

My go to juice maker is www.vapology.co.uk/ you have the choice of extra flavour & also double. The raspberry is rather good, as is the blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry, very berry cool, banoffee....... Plus, there's a tailor made section, if you fancy something different.

Hello from another amateur! I have about four flavours on the go and swap around during the day. At the moment I'm alternating between bog standard RY4 from Vape Escape and Strawberries and Cream from Joose Juice, with Coconut from Joose Juice and Arctic Lemon from Vape Escape on stand-by. It really helps to keep your tastebuds awake. It helps to drink plenty as well.
In my limited experience the hardware isn't too much of an issue: there's loads of guidance on what to avoid or what to go for because stuff either works well or it doesn't. Finding your flavours can be a real problem because you have to experiment for yourself to find out what you like and what you don't, and if you're anything like me you'll find that flavours you thought you'd love you really can't get on with and vice-versa. Thank goodness for sample sizes. Good Luck!

This isn't helped by the fact that our tastebuds were knackered by years of smoking. As they wake up and settle down, people find that they can go off juices they loved initially, and ones they disliked can start to taste appealing. It does all settle down after a while though
