Hi I'm having probs with my kanger pro tank. I use it with a Vision spinner battery and keep burnig out the atomiser, is this a common problem? What is the best voltage to use, I've been using 3.8 volts with 2.5 ohm atomiser. About to order replacements what resistance is best and at what voltage should I set? thanks in advance

Sounds like a dodgy coil? The volts you are putting through a high ohm atty, should no way no how burn anything out.
What do you mean by burning out?
If you are getting a burnt taste, it may be that your liquid is too thick or that you are getting air bubbles when you fill (no idea if that can happen with a protank, but does with my mini davide sometimes)
If it suddenly stops working, then check that there is no liquid where there shouldn't be any (on the connections or in the center tube). This can sometimes make a battery think you have a short, or just make the vape seem really pathetic.

These were the 2 supplied with the device. I measured the resistance of the 1st failure and it was open circuit so I guess it burned out

Then it was a dud head or there was a little liquid somewhere making it read as a short.

derek You should be able to use a 2.5 ohm atty safely at any thing from 3.3 volts up to around 4.5 volts without any danger of burning out the atty. In addition to checking those things that dragon has suggested, make sure that there is not a problem with the Spinner by measuring the actual output voltage at the 3.8 volt setting. As you have said that this keeps happening I would suspect the battery unless of course you just got a batch of faulty atties. BTW Recoiling these atties is really easy .. get yourself some 2mm silica wick and 0.2mm kanthal wire and watch this Phil Busardo video .. it is really easy and will save you a fortune in future .. and you can build the coil at whatever resistance you prefer.
