suddenly, mini protank becomes a PITA

Hi all.

Had a mini protank 1 for just over a fortnight now, handled the first couple of tanks very nicely, gone through a few new stock heads I had already (evods with the long 'top')

I took it apart, cleaned it in water, and now it's gurgle city. juice in the air tube, leaking out the bottom of the head unit..generally being a PITA. The only thing that hasn't gone is the 'main' seal.

I really don't know how to diagnose this, maybe my warm water was too warm? either way I'm a bit annoyed as it's fairly ruined my experience with clearos, first my spitty evod and now this..

anyone got any ideas? recommendations? other clearos/heads to try out? it was a bit..muted anyway.

It sounds like you've lost the one or both of the top taste wicks that lay over the coil. simply add 2 bits of 1mm wick over the top of the coil and trim to the same length as the existing coil wicks.

They're stock evod heads, so the few I've checked have at least had one extra wick. I will check and add where appropriate, thanks for the suggestion. intending to recoil these as soon as my ego-510 adapter arrives to use with raid's mod.

Check the seal above the wick and coil is seated properly as this could give those symptoms- I've got a pile of new genuine kanger coil heads in 2.5 ohm if you want a few- I've started recoiling mine so realistically have prob got around 10 or so spare(ok maybe 20 lol)as I also bought a pile of 1.8 ohm heads from Myepack plus the ones that came with the minis/mini2s and the full size ones I have.
Let me know if you want a few to see if it sorts the problem.

If the 'main seal' hasn't gone (I assume you mean the bottom O ring) the only place juice can get into the tube is through the wick holes. Try what Des suggested and also make sure you have the neck tube pushed down far enough into the body.

I feel your pain mate, initially I loved my protank but since changing heads and cleaning it, it has become a bit hit and miss and depending on what juice I have in it depends if it wants to flood or not. Im building a collection of rebuildables to do away with clearo's. Im also looking into cartos with a tank now as well.
