Wow, a magazine with fully-accredited laboratories and experienced scientists who conducted a long-term and exhaustive study in accordance with standard scientific test principles!!
I think not . . .

This is old news, they are reporting on a news story that missrresented an unreliable report. This is an example of the worst kind of journalism, it's just total tosh!

Hmm on first reading it's not good but where are the figures ?
"May be as harmful as normal tobacco" ... "Potentially carciogenic compounds" ... "Potentially toxic chemicals and metals" ... "Carcoiogenic molecules in significant amounts"
No actual figures then ? Maybe there are figures but until they let us see them we are supposed to take there word for it panick and let the governments take over the show. In my opinion thats what these reports are aiming for.
Alot of ifs and buts in the report for me. Mentioning children aswell, great tactics. The third reich was good at that aswell. My mums scones are potentially harmful if I throw them at people. Proven beyond a doubt figures are what people want to read.
What i know is I'm not wheezing or coughing after just five weeks off the stinkies and using ecigs. That also proves nothing but I know I haven't been inhaling tar and the rest of the muck. That can't be a bad thing. I must have been temporary insane for 25 years smoking analogues.
Someone might slaughter me with an answer beginning with the words "actually Jay" but these are my opinions"

It is a game of Chinese whispers, the press are reporting on news stories and At each rehash it gets twisted a bit more. There is zero science to back any of it up. Most definitely a plant by the antis!

I have noticed that every negative report on e cigs has been discredited by people who actually know what they're talking about whereas the anti brigade have not been able to discredit any positive report on e cigs.

Well apart from Stanton Glans Glantz. He tries to discredit anything positive about E-cigs, and fails, because he's a bit of a mentalist and a pretend doctor.

You will find that there are no scientific reports that are negative, only negative "stories" made up by people willfully misrepresenting the actual science. CASAA commissioned a study of all the studies and there was not even a hint of a negative aspect in any published study, ever!

If vaping had the wealth of the tobacco industry I suspect we'd see much less of this unsubstantiated drivel. There's a host pf pharmaceutical companies out there drooling over regulation, and they're not short on press leverage.

Statements like this true or not, make people think, and wonder, and all non smokers, and non vapers who read this would tut at the first vaper they saw, because they believe it. This is a sad fact.

This is a sad fact. It is indeed a sad fact but thats what they're hoping for. It evades alot of people that reports like that use words and phrases like "may be" "potentially" "significant amounts" They don't use words and phrases like definately, proven beyond doubt and dangerous amounts which would show they had real evidence. They obviously don't have worthy evidence or we would have it in front of us.

This is a sad fact. Quite right, I read it thinking there must be some new evidence that I must catch up with. But there was none. I bet if my Mum reads this though, as a non vaper she will automatically believe it.
