Right Roscopecotrain I have given this a try again, I beleive my coils have come a long way since the last time I tried. I have stopped watching reviews on how to coil and just try and work out what works best. I threw another coil into the scar today, using a very similar method to the one posted. I also added two pieces of silica where the coils wrap round that hang into the well to pick up any straggling juice that reaches the deck. So it is 4mm wick at the coil. It seems a lot better than the two piece along the bottom, the juice wicks better and the wick holds more meaning less dripping If you want to see a pic let me know but im going to give this a good thrashing to see if it can keep up

I dont have any strand sticking up mate, just a single piece of 2mm silica from each coil sitting on top of the centre post, that takes most of the liquid and then it wicks down which seems to work a lot better than wicking up.
