I was in my local co-op this evening and standing in the checkout queue, I was browsing my eye over the Fag Counter and noticed that the fags I used to smoke now cost £7.50 for 20!!!!

I was on 40 a day!

Thank gawd for e-cigs or I'd be in the poorhouse by now!

This is the only reason I made the switch to ecigs. Its a joke as it costs peanuts to produce these. I was paying £16 for 200 when I was in afghan, so im guessing that at least 75% of the price in the UK is tax.

But with that saving you surely deserve a nice new shiny

That's an incredibly saving, out of interest I just calculated my savings and I work it out to be about £2,500. That's from quitting 19 months ago and I was smoking 15 a day!
I possibly over estimated what I have spent on consumables so it could be more.
Why oh why didn't I do this sooner! :-D

Yep, I am wondering why I didn't start sooner too. It's amazing how it mounts up especially after smoking 40+ per day. I just didn't realise it would be this easy.

Today we towed home "the other shiney". A 4 berth caravan. A couple of wee mishaps along the way but nothing that can't be sorted and now that it is in my workshop, while SWIMBO thinks I am up there knocking my pan in getting "her holiday home" ready for next year, I will be lying on the lounge seats with my two furry boys, vaping myself silly and dreaming about Highland Glens and Golden Beaches.

He.....yeah gotta say it stings a bit to think back how much money one has spent on ciggies eh.....I know i could have done a lot with that money but thats the past and now its like you said, thinking how much im saving instead.....

At today's prices my smoking hobby would have cost me £259,332.50p, give or take a couple of thou.

But what the hell, think of all the fun I have had and at the end of the day, I have ended up just where I want to be and happy with my lot.

Oh and I would gladly pay that again to get another 49 years of Vaping!
