OK, that may not mean much to you lot, but for me and my stupid fingers it was First time I've had to clean it in 6 months. Not too bad.

Congratulations. How many times did you drop the little ball bearing?

Congratulations. How many times did you drop the little ball bearing? I lost count of how many times I dropped it. But it didn't ping across the room, which was a relief

They are little buggers aren't they? I disassemble it inside a plastic bag then empty the bag into the sonic cleaner. Then to reassemble I use a magnetic screwdriver to hold the ball onto the spring while pushing the switch in.

Not sure if you know anything about the recessed 510 but I'm sure I read somewhere that you need to take out the o-ring... surely this would cause a short ?

BAzz - I knew about the plastic bag trick but not the magnetic screwdriver trick. I'll try that one next time Most of the pinging occurred when I was trying to get it back in... Balllsy - not sure what you mean ??? Have you looked at the Atmizoo disassembly and reassembly vids on Youtube? Essential viewing!

I might have read it on one of the forums, I have watched the vids and will re-cap before I strip them.

Ah, I understand! I think the sole purpose of that o-ring is to make sure that you don't screw the screw down so far that it fails to contact the base of whatever you put on top. I'm using the recessed connector, so I removed the o-ring ages ago.
