Man Flu?

I have been feeling pretty ropey for a few days now and, although I am still pining for Cute Angel's safe return from her stay with Mrs dragon , it is more than that. I have a really sore throat, my sense of taste is more shot than normal, I have a sore head, achy limbs and no appetite. I am vaping menthol and swallowing 2 paracetamol every 4 - 6 hours. What I want to know is does this sound like man flu and should I call 999 for an ambulance?  ???

plenty of rest,try not to move much,when i had it i struggled to switch the tv over.............But on the bright side.....it finds the women something do....

This is very serious case of man flu you have. I am not sure your wife will be able to nurse you properly...no reflection on her it is just once of thee things a woman on her own can not cope with unless you get distracted from the symptoms. One way is to place a large order for shinies. This gives hope and inspiration with the anticipation of it arriving and gives a massive boost to moral. May I suggest an order with Jason at VE for a new shiny is definitely required as arrives very quickly. Then place a second order and request he delays delivery for 2 days and this way you have best chance of recovery as it extends the good anticipation feeling. BTW Parrots eat em all do not work, you need new atomisers.

1. Man-Flu is more painful than childbirth. This is an irrefutable scientific fact*.

2. Man-Flu is not 'just a cold'. It is a condition so severe that the germs from a single Man-Flu sneeze could wipe out entire tribes of people living in the rainforest.
3. Women do not contract Man-Flu. They suffer from what is medically recognised as a 'Mild Girly Sniffle' – which, if a man caught, he would still be able to run, tear the phone book in half and compete in all other kinds of manly activities.
4. Men do not 'moan' when they have Man-Flu. They emit involuntary groans of agony that are entirely in proportion to the unbearable pain they are in.
5. More men die each year from MFN (Man-Flu Neglect) than lots and lots of other things. (Like rabbit attacks or choking on toast).
6. Men suffering from Man-Flu want nothing more than to get out of bed and come to work, but they are too selfless to risk spreading this awful condition amongst their friends and colleagues. In this sense, they are the greatest heroes ever known.
7. Man-Flu germs are more powerful than superman and The A-Team combined. They are too strong for weak, nasty tasting 'lady medicines' like Lemsip, so don't bother trying to force them on a victim of Man-Flu.
8. While it may seem like a Man-Flu sufferer is just lying around enjoying 'Diagnosis Murder' it’s a recognised medical fact that the exact pitch and frequency of Dick Van Dyke's voice has remarkable soothing powers.

Yes chrisjw I can empathise with every woman who has had to or will suffer this debilitating disease! 

And if my hubby should have to endure this life threatening, painful, deadly virus then....

well....




I'll pack him off to Hospital and let them deal with it... that way I won't have to stand by helpless and watch him suffer, and as he endures the prodding and poking, the endless tests and probing in the relentless search for a cure that will annihilate that life shattering bug called 'Man Flu' I will take comfort in the knowledge that my decision to send him was the best thing for him!
