Just one additional point. All the cheaper VV/VW mods output with pulse width modulation, so in effect they chuck out a range of rapidly varying voltages that average what you set them at. Sometimes referred to as the "rattlesnake" effect (you can hear it sometimes) Provaris put out a straight DC voltage. So 4 watts is not always quite the same

I don't know rosco People find all sorts of differences between different devices for all sorts of reasons! Most of the current crop of VV/VW devices are pretty accurate since they figured out the correct way to calculate the average, but some do think the vape effect is different

Thats right, what you pay for is a processor that sorts the mess out and delivers a signal that scopes read as flat. That same processor constantly reads your attie state and makes continuous adjustments to make sure you get the power you set it to. Quality electronics!
