I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but both of my Riva batteries (that I got in March) have disintegrated today. They've come unscrewed under the on/off switch and some little wires are hanging out. I'm not heavy handed when I'm screwing them onto the clearos or charger and it's a bit disappointing if they're only going to last a few months. Anyone else had this problem, or is it something I'm doing wrong?

Hi I have never had a battery actually disintegrate, but Batteries do not last forever Having had them since March if you have been using them all that time, then you have had a pretty good run on them. I can't imagine what has caused the problem (especially since I have never had a riva battery, just things very similar), but personally I would feel that I had had my moneys worth out of them and be glad of an excuse to upgrade to something better. Six months for a battery that it is in daily use is about average. Even if a battery only lasts a month, if it is a "standard" ego battery, then you are still quids in compared to smoking.

thingonaswingif it's just a case of the heads coming awy from the tube, it's a simple matter of fitting them back in. It's normal practice to either have a tight push fit or on some they are glued in. Providing that the wires are intact, a touch of Epoxy round the rim should hold them together. Out of interest.. what atty have you been using on them?

They've come apart completely and one of the wires has detached so when I push to button to activate it, it switches itself off. I'm using the Vision 3 clearomisers with them. They haven't been in daily use, more like alternate days as I've got two and a charge lasts pretty much the whole day.

Hmmm sounds like a "friday afternoon batch", ah well as dragon says it's an excellent opportunity to get your self sorted with some new kit. I have not used Riva's myself but have had Ego's last over 6 months before today. Get from a reputable source and you should be OK. Don't waste the dud ones though, PM raid2506 he may be able to fix or at least use the bits .

Got to admit that I think something very strange must have happened for "both of my Riva batteries (that I got in March) have disintegrated today."Any ideas at all thingonaswing as to what might have happened to make them both disintegrate on the same day? *is ignoring* mybad
