Hi, I have recently bought a sigelei zmax v3 and although i think it is a excellent device for the money it is most certainly not a flat top as stated in the description. Does anybody know if there is any beauty rings on the market that would fit the device? Or is there any modders out there that would be willing to sand it flat for me and put the airflow grooves back in the 510 connection etc.
Cheers Odj

Probably stating the obvious here so sorry if you already know but the top section of your zmax can be unscrewed and screwed up to your clearo or whatever. I tend to use a mega davide on mine most and I just screw the top ring or section up till it touched the bottom of it. I also find it makes a tighter draw. Only drawback is there is a slight gap between the sections then. I don't think it mislooks it though. Hope this helps.

Got that pic you emailed me davyc and your looks the same as mine but my top cap is stuck fast. I've resisted the urge to break out the mole grips think I'll have another look in the morning

Can I suggest the use of a rubber glove like a marigold or something. My one was never tight, in fact when mine came I was concerned about how slack it was. I hope you get it sorted one way or another. If you need more pics or anything just let me know. All the best

I wouldn't unscrew the top cap..Sounds like someone got one where the top cap is not threadlocked..
You'll end up twisting the wire going to the center pin if you do it too much..
Grinding down the center connector is possible to a certain extent but you have watch the depth or you'll end up in a situation where you can't screw in your atty all the way. You can make air holes by drilling a couple of holes in the dimples, if your Zmax has got them..

Maccafan. Hi, my zmax v3 has a ring or cap that can be removed easily, this allows for, different sizes and types of attys to fit easily. It can be removed fully or used to tidy up the look where the two meet. A beauty ring. There would be no need for this to be thread locked as it needs to be removable for cleaning around. I can send pictures if you require.

I will be getting my Zmax soon, I'm gonna be asking a mate of mine to make a ring that is flat to the connector. I'll post pics if he's able to do it
