Hi guys. Just a quicky, eVod heads. I have about 6 of the things that I have used for maybe 4/5 days each before they started to get a bit "bluuugghhhh" if that makes sense?, basically not a nice TH or strong taste like it did for the first 2 days. I went to go buy some this weekend, but £2.50 each is a tad steep for every 3 days, especially when the whole exercise in using ecigs is to drastically reduce cost. More so at the moment as I am going hardcore flattening debts. Can I revive them to their former glory?, I know its possible to re-coil (i have the materials, but not the patience nor delicate hands), but besides re-coiling, what are my options? (Nothing fancy shmancy like ultrasonic baths, ideally things you would have at home.) Cheers

Recoiling is the only proper answer, anything else would be papering over the cracks.

I know this may sound a tad crazy but is there any tools out there for people with cacky coiling skills?, I tried using an old soldering aid but it was pretty pointless. (you know the thing with the arms/crocodile clips and a magnifying glass)

andy01424, Snap.. my early ones looked as though a half blind chimp had knitted them, but they came out at what I wanted and worked fine. @jakethevapeit's well worth sticking at it, you get to control the resistance of your coil not some manufacturer.

I am still a newbie to all this and also have difficulty recoiling but thanks to Romelee I managed to do one with ekowool, it was so much easier than silica

hi Jake have you ever tried cleaning them? I just leave them to soak overnight in a solution of warm water and half a cheap denture tablet or a pinch of bicarbonate of soda in the water. Leave them overnight and next morning take them out, give them a shake and leave to dry. You will really notice a difference. I tend to soak mine every 2 or 3 days. I hope this helps. I too have all the bits for recoiling and its on my to do list Sue
