Dry Burning

I really ain't you know, i just have bought so much wick and wire that i don't know what to do with it so i just keep trying out all different methods, more fails than good ones so i have started making these out of all the wick and wire:

the way i do it (and i could be doing it all wrong) is screw my atty onto my device without any juice in and fire it up in short bursts (2 or 3 seconds) until the coils can be seen glowing red clearly and all smoke has stopped. works for me anyway. keep those blasts very short though
