It was ordered on Friday from Bargain Vapour (RoI) ... eVic head, uprated black 18650 battery tube and top cap, and charger cable ... £58 with registered delivery and it arrived at lunch time today ... well done BV.
Had a bit of a panic when I tried to put one of my Fasttech Panasonic NCR18650B button top batteries into the tube and the bugga wouldn't fit as it was too fat (18.5 mm). I had some 18350 batteries that fit OK but I am still waiting on a 18350 Siam tube from Pink Mule so it looked as if I was stuck until either the 18350 tube arrived or I got some different 18650s. I then remembered reading that the button top Pannys were modified flat tops with the button soldered onto the flat top and the whole battery re-wrapped in clear plastic. Two minutes later the plastic outer wrapper and button top were removed to reveal the original Panasonic flat top which fit like a glove with zero rattle.
Powered it up, loaded the iclear30 and had a trial vape at my usual 9 watts. I don't know how it does it but the vape was about 20% better on the evic than on the SVD with the same battery and the same iclear30 and the same eliquid. ??? Smoother, more flavour and more vapour ... TH about the same.
Down loaded the version 1.4 firmware and the MVR software and quickly set the evic up for my personal preferences re screen layout etc ...... skipped past all the rubbish about puff counter etc and just set up the important bits..... vv/vw/ohms/battery charge etc.
Th evic in 18650 mode is about 1/2 inch longer than the SVD in 18350 mode and about half as heavy. In 18350 mode it will be a really dinky stealth vape device.
It looks terrific with the black battery tube and head with the chrome battery cap and chrome settings ring.
So all in all, I am well pleased with the evic and can't wait for the Siam 18350 stainless steel battery tube and top to arrive from Pink Mule (dispatched today so hopefully will arrive by the weekend.
I will post an update with piccies over the weekend if I get a chance.
EDIT: I finally got around to taking a few photos (Sorry about the sideways photos ... hope you can lean to the right without falling over ) ....
Evic in 18650 mode with Spinner and 306 dripper for comparison
It's good to hear you are enjoying your evic, FFS. That delivery time was amazing
Yeah kailey I placed the order at 11 am Friday morning and it was delivered 12 noon Monday .... great service. However, that was within the island of Ireland (south to north) so it may take a little longer across the pond.
Ah, yes. I forgot you were in Ireland, @freefromsmoking
I am hoping my order from Ireland arrives this week sometime.
If you want an delivery estimate kailey perhaps Super-Shiny or chrisjw might be able to help as I think they have both bought from Bargain Vapour recently.
