There's a real element of personal taste in the bottom vs top coil argument - for me there's no question that BCC devices taste better and that gets better when the tank is glass rather than plastic. They are certainly easier to care for than top coils to my mind as well (shorter wicks seems to equal less to go wrong).
However I acknowledge that the dual coils top coil devices have their plus points - I loathed the iclear30 - leaky gurgly thing with a really uncomfortable fixed drip tip but the iclear16 is a nice cheap bit of kit, plastic tank aside it does the job well and some juices respond well to the higher temperature. But possibly habit enduced preference I like the cooler vape and the airier drawer from my protanks and davides and the taste they gave possibly because of this.
The currently available BDC tanks (Aspire and the new Davide) are basically mini cartomiser tanks and do give excellent performance but possibly a tad shortlived - they certainly don't appear to be as easy to look after (or recoil not that I do) as the single coil versions. When they are working well though they taste the best of any clearomiser I've used. They are also not as juice hungry as a iclear16/30 - although that's swings and roundabouts if they die double quick (mine is still okay and a fortnight old but only seeing occasional use as its one of six tanks I have in regular use).
Very interested to see Kangertech's version which looks a different design to the Aspire (for the forthcoming Protank 3). If they can nail the extra taste but also long lived heads of the single coil variety we could have a new winner.
For now I'll be happy with my Protank II and Mega Davide....
