having spent most of the weekend browsing the forum and looking at various type of mods i am still unsure as to what i want, as i said in a previous post i have an itaste vv3 at the moment which is great for work and would like something else for at home, i think i have finally decided between 2 the MPV2 or the vtr as i like the square type look, i will be honest and admit i might have a touch of shineyitis regards the vtr, but then again there is a fair difference in the price?, I would just like your opinions or experience of both, the mpv seems to have a fair following on here and seems to do everything that i would need ,it just looks strange with some of the tanks i have seen on it, the vtr i believe does not take all types because of the hole diameter but looks tidier, decisions decisions but one of them is going in the shopping basket today rab

Buy both bigrab then you will definitely have made the right decision If you do opt for the VTR you will need decent batteries and charger

I've ordered 2 Panasonic NCR18650B (3400 mAh) batteries from Amazon £19.10 Nitecore Intellicharger £14.80........total £33.90 and the VTR from Tortoisetech £42.50.........£76.40 in all, cheaper than the UK suppliers, and with top quality batteries..... But you have too wait................

For my VTR. I've ordered 2 Panasonic NCR18650B (3400 mAh) batteries from Amazon £19.10 fredhoggOOO! I have some of these batteries - they're approx 71mm long (with nipples) and quite large diameter, they only fit in my Vamo's, did you check they'd fit?

They are one of the batteries that Tortoisetech, recommend for use, with the MVP and TVR. Should be 65 mm long X 18.3 mm diameter, unprotected / button less

fredhogg Definitely 70mm long, and I know they're larger diameter as I have two here. However I don't have a VTR to try but I do seem to remember in a review that it said that the length of the battery was quite critical. I'll try and take some pictures to show how they compare. Here you go:

Thanks for taking the trouble, too point out a potential issue. In my afternoons searching of all things, 18650 batteries, Mr. Torchy pointed out, that one of his SenBor batteries (rebadged Panasonic) was 71 mm long. But I ain't going back looking for that info. it must be protected as well. phew !!!!! DiscoDes CHEERS.
