OK Sorry, stupid question 23467, I bought a couple of these on someone's rcommendation - filled the first time no bother and they were fine. Didn't touch them at all today and went to fill them up properly as had only put a little liquid in first time round. They bloody exploded everywhere - mouthful of liquid (yum) and bubbling and gurgling. Am SURE I didn't get any down the central bit - rah, feel sick. Am I doing something incredibly stupid?

ha ha - no sorry, not exploded, that would have been impressive - I have a tendency to over exaggerate! No, leaking everywhere, out of the bottom, out of the top - actually not sure where it was coming from but i was covered in the stuff.
Right - just refilled it again. Was super careful, going soo slowly and taking care not to get any down the air flow. Blowing through it which sometimes there is a little spatter of liquid, the stuff is coming out fast and yet I put none in the airway?
Does that even make sense?!

Not wishing to sound like a p**t is the evod new out of the packet because sometimes the rubber grommets are not in place properly on the coil (assuming you have put a coil in it ) JOKING, but it has been done before. I would take it apart and check everything is in place and nice and tight

It sounds like the flavour is getting through the flavour wick and up the spout. I suggest emptying it, rinse the container part out and dry it and then change the coil - I'm pretty sure you've got a duff wick.
If you have spare wick material, you could add an extra flavour wick on top of the coil and see if that helps.

Thanks for your replies - and yes, fairly sure I've put everything together OK including the coil bazzer Tease-smiley !! But yes, it's fresh out the packet - have hidden it from sight now and will try all your suggestions tomorrow when I don't feel so much like chucking the bloody thing out the window! The other one I have is working fine so am thinking (hoping) it's not operator error!
Thanks all

oh and what are likes? Why have I three?! If you look top right of any post you will see what shows as a thumb. If you press this it shows approval or agreement to that post. Just means that at least 3 peeps have liked something you said. Keep an eye open on the top of the forum and you should see a number appear under the word "profile" click that and you will go into your own profile. under "notifications" there will be a number, click and you can read who liked what. It takes longer to tell than to do.

Thanks Charon. OK so re cleaning the thing out. The head / coil / wick whatever you call it was the one it came with. No idea how to re'wick? and certainly don't have any stuff to do so. In that case do I need to buy new heads? (am struggling with the terminology, can you tell?!). If so what resistance - what's the difference? Am I now officially the most needy newbie on the forum?

effingtonRight, are we sitting comfortably...good then we will begin. The head is the little metal contraption that you screw into the tank (where the juice goes) It consists of several bits, the coil which is the bit that heats up the juice and this is wound around the wick both of these sit inside the head. they are not normally visable, as the head has a silicone cap (clear plastic thingy with a metal pole on it) So much for the head, I suspect your problems could be (1) that the factory supplied wick is either too loose or the flavour wick ( a seperate bit of wick that sits on top of the wick/coil assembly) has become dislodged. (2) the silicone cap is not sitting flush on the head. Both easy fixes. If (1), seperate the the head into bits, Can you see the coil inside? Yes? then the flavour wick has gone walkies. take a small piece of cotton wool and twist it into a small straw. Place over coils, reassemble the head. If (2) after doing the above, make sure the silicone cap is pressed all the way down and flush. In respect of recoiling/rewicking have a look at this easy guide. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/28652/beginners-guide-own-coils?page=1&scrollTo=518540Right will leave this with you, I'll look in on you later.
