0.25 Kanthal (only one I have other than 0.2) 12 wraps = 2.3ohm and cotton wick .... and it works!!

Oh wow Di, great news. You are my very first Greigsters Micro Coil Coiler (if there is such a word)

Well done you. You need to try some thicker Kanthal (.30 with 10 wraps should be about 1.8ohms) cos it just gets better. I use .37 Kanthal with 8 wraps gives me just on 1 ohm.

Arrived this morning - super fast delivery! Has Royal Mail finally got their act together? Hmm!?? Thank you, Greigster, your trust is appreciated. I'm away for the weekend (met the postman on the way out the door!) so will now have to wait until Tuesday to try it out. I should be adult about this - waiting isn't that difficult - it just looks gorgeous and I want to play with it NOW!!

Well, I left the coil buddy over night with some wick and mesh and wire and when I woke up this morning there were no coils ???
I don't understand, should I have put a battery in it or something ???

Greigster - You are a legend!!

I received my coil buddy this morning and have just had a go.......

Normally it takes forever to do one, and then it would rarely work first time and I'd have to start over - I am so cack handed

I recoiled 3 protank heads, in the time it would take to do one (badly) and they ALL worked FIRST time!!

I am completely over excited and thrilled to bits

In addition, I can also see how I will waste far less wick and wire.

In short, it's BRILLIANT!!
