My only gripe with the Spheroid was the thumbscrew thingies, the new V3 kit is so much easier, money well spent & going forward these should be made std kit IMO.

got mine today too but not had chance to swap them over yet.
Edit: I was going to bed before reading this thread and just had to install mine.. lol
Much easier than the thumb screws but I am not 100% happy with the threads on the posts, bit stiff and need working in.

Do you mean the threads that screw into the base or the threads inside the post that the screws go into?

Not replaced the parts on mine yet.......Anything I need to be aware of ? No, other than what's been mentioned above, they're a straight replacement for the old posts, although i don't know why you get 2 nuts in the pack, you only need one for the positive post.

Is there something I'm 'missing' here or is this the problem you are mentioning? Neither of my screws go all the way in and the negative one is miles out. I can get it in a bit more but then it unscrews the whole post when removed. How is this even usable? Please tell me I'm just being thick.

You're not being thick mate that is the problem I had too. I feared that was the case. I took the posts out, held then by the threads using pliers and used a large screwdriver to force the screws in and out. This seems to have freed them up quite a lot but shouldn't be needed. I know Perseus is a nice helpful guy but this is not the first problem I've had with their quality control. Anyway, rant over. If I run into problems I'll just stick the old thumbscrews back on.

Looks like i was lucky with mine then, they were tight, but managed to screw them fully in & out with my micro driver, no loosening of the posts when unscrewing & no need for pliers.
